Amniocentesis

Amniocentesis is a very common procedure in which a small amount of amniotic fluid—which protects the baby—is removed from the uterus to be tested for Down Syndrome. This procedure may be right for you if:
A prenatal screening test indicated your child is at risk for Down Syndrome
A previous pregnancy was affected by a chromosomal condition or neural tube defect
You're over the age of 35
You have a family history of Down Syndrome
You or your partner is a known carrier or Down Syndrome
You have had abnormal ultrasound findings.
The procedure will take around 10 minutes, and is done between weeks 15-20 of your pregnancy. Your final results will be available within three business days and will tell you if your child has Down Syndrome with close to 100% accuracy. By choosing to test at an Infastem clinic, you give yourself the option of pursuing our signature preventative treatment plans for your child.
Prenatal Stem Cell Therapy

Our prenatal stem cell therapy can reduce up to 65% of Down Syndrome complications, and will improve your child's cognitive functioning, motor skills, and brain health. The procedure is minimally invasive, and low-risk for both mother and baby. To track brain development and monitor for any rare side effects, weekly ultrasound appointments will be offered for the first month after treatment, after which biweekly appointments will be offered for the duration of the pregnancy (included in treatment cost). We can only offer this therapy if you have received a positive test result at an Infastem clinic and must be administered within five weeks of the date of your positive result
